openyoureyes with voiceover
Who was the on1y one to survive?
Discover the tale of the Ten Heroes. Use their power to protect the Temple from a great and ancient Evil. Solve the puzzle of the Last Hero.
I am ramenasaurus, and this is my first game, first gamejam, first time writing, etc. This project started as a box that moved, but has grown to an experience that I can truly be proud of. I began creating it alone, but the team that volunteered to join me has made openyoureyes into what it is now. I cannot thank them enough.
The wonderful Voice Actors who joined me to bring life to the Ten Heroes!
Devin, the voice of Wylar, Bronya, Fangus, Mog, and Wylar, as well as voice and sound effect design - Devin's itch.io
ZoraLune, the voice of Aralyn, Arumana, Calumain, and Pytera - ZoraLune's Website
SerenityDragon, the voice of Bekar, Ristab, and Rugaro - I'm very happy I was able to be a part of this team! The people I met in this short timeframe showed so much talent and I couldn't have felt more welcome. Thanks for playing openyoureyes and if you want to support me, feel free to use my Patreon or any of the links within it for more.
I would like to thank the creator of the score for the game, but I haven't convinced them to take credit yet. If you think they should, feel free to comment below.
Much thanks to the Assets listed below. I would not have been able to implement so much in such a short time without their free creations. If you liked the visual style of openyoureyes, check out their itch.io pages!
Free Game Assets's Free Cursed Land Top Down Pixel Art Tileset
BDragon1727's 750 Effect and FX pixel All
Cainos's Pixel Art Top Down Basic
Serial's RPG Top-Down Character Pack
I would especially like to thank Nathan Hoad for creating the free Dialogue Manager addon for Godot, and for his tutorials on YouTube. His addon and tutorial support were instrumental for a beginner like me to implement such an involved narrative.
If you're seeing this, it may be because you read the itch.io page from openyoureyes.
I appreciate you coming over to view the game as it was meant to.
If you're curious what the issue was, using probably-not-fully-correct terms from a new dev: Godot is not case-sensitive when looking for files, but other forms like HTML5 are. So if a w should be a W, everything is fine when previewing it locally in Godot, but when it is exported... not so much. Anyways, behold the not-fully-feature-rich but gloriously voiced openyoureyes!
